How will the integration of cloud technologies disrupt the status quo of governance? More important, what are governments doing to ensure they get the most from their cloud investments? These are just a few of the questions addressed in this report, which examines the implications of these findings on governments, citizens, cloud service providers and IT leaders.

For this study, Forbes Insights, in association with KPMG, surveyed 429 public-sector executives in 10 countries in 2011. Responses from the KPMG global business survey on cloud adoption of 808 business executives are referenced to provide further context. In addition, government leaders from around the world were interviewed one-on-one. The results provide insight into the current state of government cloud and offer an important benchmark for public-sector organizations globally.
